Omaha, NE (August 28, 2026) – Two people were taken to Nebraska Medicine Bergan Mercy’s Level 1 trauma center after a crash near 84th and Dodge Street early on Wednesday morning, August 26, according to a local scanner report. An ambulance crew leaving Methodist Hospital witnessed the wreck around 2:15 a.m. and requested additional fire department support after finding one person pinned.
One patient was initially assessed with a low level of consciousness that improved before transport. The second patient, a restrained driver, showed signs of alcohol use and had cuts and bruising.
