Bellefontaine Neighbors, MO (August 4, 2026) – Two men were hurt in a head-on collision on Missouri Route 367 near Chambers Road on Sunday night. The crash occurred at about 9:50 p.m. in the southbound lanes.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 31-year-old man was driving with a flat tire and without headlights when officers attempted to stop him. The driver crossed the center line, traveled the wrong way, and struck a vehicle driven by a 63-year-old man.
The 31-year-old driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, while the 63-year-old driver was treated for minor injuries.
Both directions of Route 367 were temporarily closed before reopening shortly after midnight. The investigation into the collision remains ongoing, and additional details may be released as they become available.
