Cleveland, GA (June 28, 2026) – Two people were injured after a Boeing PT-17 aircraft crashed into a field on Friday morning, June 26, near Black Rd in Cleveland. Emergency crews responded to the scene around 10:47 a.m. after receiving reports of the aircraft accident.
Officials said the vintage aircraft had departed from Mountain Airpark before going down in a field near Hampton Hills Lane. First responders treated both occupants at the scene before they were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for additional care. Authorities have not released their identities or provided updates on their conditions.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration, and additional information is expected as the review continues.
