Middleway, WV (July 24, 2026) – Two people were hurt after a single-engine aircraft went down in a field near 494 Harry Shirley Road on Thursday afternoon.
The plane went down shortly before 2:30 p.m. near Middleway, about half a mile from Leetown Road. Both occupants were able to get out of the aircraft and were reported to have injuries.
One person was airlifted to a hospital, while the other was taken by ambulance for treatment. The aircraft landed in a farmer’s field, and no traffic disruption was reported in the area.
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under review, with more details expected as the review continues. We are thinking of those injured as they receive medical care.
