Las Cruces, NM (July 16, 2026) – A two-vehicle accident at El Paseo Rd and Farney Ln left two women hurt on Tuesday. The collision involved a Nissan Juke and a Honda Accord.
The Nissan driver was trapped inside her vehicle and needed assistance before being taken to a Las Cruces hospital. She was later airlifted to an El Paso hospital in critical condition and remained hospitalized in stable condition.
The Honda Accord driver, a 20-year-old woman, was also taken to a nearby hospital with relatively minor injuries. Investigators said the Honda may have entered the intersection after a red light, and the Nissan driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck. The review into the cause of the accident is continuing as more details are gathered.
