Intersection Safety on Benton County Highways
Intersections can create risks when vehicles approach from different directions. Drivers should slow down as they approach crossings and check carefully for traffic before proceeding.
Clear visibility can also help drivers recognize vehicles approaching from another roadway. Distractions, excessive speed, and failure to yield can reduce the time available to avoid a collision.
Wearing a seat belt provides additional protection for drivers and passengers in a traffic accident. Drivers should also follow posted signs and signals and remain attentive throughout their trip.
