Clay County, MO (July 29, 2026) – Two drivers were hurt in a two-vehicle accident on MO-92/State Rt E on Monday, July 27. The crash occurred at approximately 6:54 p.m. in Clay County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound 2013 Ford Edge entered the intersection into the path of a westbound 2015 Volkswagen Passat. The front of the Volkswagen struck the driver’s side of the Ford Edge. Both vehicles sustained total damage and were removed by towing services.
The 27-year-old man driving the Volkswagen suffered serious injuries and was taken to Liberty Hospital. The 45-year-old woman driving the Ford Edge had minor injuries and planned to seek medical treatment on her own. The Volkswagen driver was not wearing a seat belt, whereas the Ford driver was.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under review as investigators continue examining the available details. We hope both drivers experience a complete recovery.
