Goodhope, MO (August 7, 2026) – Two drivers were injured on Wednesday, August 5, in a four-vehicle collision on Missouri Route 76, about five miles west of Goodhope. The crash occurred at approximately 5:45 a.m.
A westbound 2013 Chevrolet pickup attempted to pass a 2008 Jeep Wrangler near a hill crest and nearly struck an eastbound 2002 Ford F-350 head-on. The Chevrolet then hit the Jeep, sending both vehicles off the right side of the roadway, where the Jeep struck a tree. Debris also hit a westbound 2016 Ram 1500.
The 23-year-old Ford driver from Ava received minor injuries and went by private vehicle to the Mercy Emergency Room in Ozark. The 74-year-old Jeep driver, also from Ava, was taken to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield with moderate injuries.
The Chevrolet, Ford, and Jeep required towing, while the Ram was driven away. Authorities continue reviewing the accident.
