New Milford, PA (August 7, 2026) – An 18-year-old woman was killed, and two other people were hurt after a vehicle left Butterfield Rd and struck a tree in New Milford Township on Wednesday, August 5.
Taryn Briggs was taken to a hospital after the collision and later died from her injuries. A 13-year-old from Springville was also killed, while an unidentified 12-year-old was injured.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, Briggs and the 13-year-old were ejected from the vehicle after it struck the tree. The 12-year-old was also hurt, but no further information about that person’s injuries was provided. The circumstances leading to the wreck remain under investigation.
