What Makes Motorcycle Crashes More Dangerous?
Motorcycles provide less physical protection than passenger vehicles, leaving riders more exposed during a collision. Even at moderate speeds, a fall or contact with another vehicle can cause serious harm.
Visibility is another concern. Motorcycles are smaller than most vehicles, which can make them harder to see in traffic or at intersections. Drivers should check mirrors and blind spots before changing lanes or turning.
Motorcyclists can also reduce risk by wearing helmets and protective clothing. Maintaining a safe speed and leaving enough space between vehicles gives everyone more time to react.
