Salisbury, MO (August 6, 2026) – Two people were hurt on Tuesday afternoon after a multi-vehicle wreck on US 24 about four miles east of Salisbury.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck occurred around 5:17 p.m. on August 4. According to investigators, a 2023 Kia Forte struck the rear of a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee while traveling eastbound.
The Kia then entered the path of a westbound 2019 Dodge Caravan and struck it head-on. The 18-year-old Kia driver from Salisbury and the 55-year-old Caravan driver from Moberly both sustained serious injuries.
The Kia driver was taken to University Medical Center by Chariton County Ambulance, while the Caravan driver was also taken to the same hospital for treatment. The circumstances surrounding the wreck remain under investigation, and additional details may become available later.
