East Prairie, MO (September 8, 2026) – Two women were injured in a collision on Highway B about two miles west of East Prairie on Sunday, September 6. The crash occurred at about 10:05 a.m. in Mississippi County.
A 2023 Kia Telluride was traveling north when it crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2013 Chrysler 200. Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the site.
The 38-year-old Telluride driver had minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Missouri Delta Medical. The 63-year-old Chrysler driver suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
After the vehicles collided, the Kia left the roadway and overturned. The Chrysler also ran off the right side and struck a ditch.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
