Lafayette County, MO (September 3, 2026) – Two drivers were hurt on Tuesday evening after two vehicles collided head-on on MO 13 south of I-70. The crash occurred around 5:20 p.m. on September 1.
A 23-year-old man from Warrensburg was driving a 2011 Ford Escape northbound when the vehicle crossed the centerline. It then struck a southbound 2020 Freightliner Cascadia head-on.
The Ford driver suffered serious injuries and was flown by Life Flight Eagle to Research Hospital. The 51-year-old truck driver from Owings Mills, Maryland, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Centerpoint Hospital. Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the roadway. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under review.
