Macon County, GA (June 6, 2026) – Two people died early on Friday morning following a collision involving a semi-truck and a side-by-side vehicle in Macon County, according to the county coroner.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:50 a.m. at the intersection of Gene Wilburn Road and Camp Creek Road. Authorities said a semi-truck and a UTV, also known as a side-by-side, were involved in the collision.
Macon County Coroner Eddie Hosley identified the victims as 27-year-old Chase Turner and 28-year-old Joshua Hutchens. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene, and their families have been notified.
The Georgia State Patrol, the Macon County Coroner’s Office, and the Georgia Motor Carrier Compliance Division are all involved in the investigation into the crash.
