Shelby County, OH (August 5, 2026) – Two women died on Monday morning after a Ford Fusion collided with a semi on State Route 47 near Dawson Road. The crash happened around 9:36 a.m.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office identified the women as Susan Eilerman, 84, and Sharon Eilerman, 64, both of Fort Loramie. Investigators said Susan Eilerman was driving the Ford Fusion when it turned from Dawson Road onto SR 47 and failed to yield before being struck by a westbound semi towing another semi.
Both women were pronounced dead at the crash site. The semi driver, a 32-year-old man from Versailles, was treated for minor injuries.
