Calhoun County, MI (September 3, 2026) – Two men were killed on Tuesday morning, September 1, after being struck by a semi-truck on eastbound Interstate 94 near 22 1/2 Mile Road in Marengo Township.
According to Michigan State Police, the two men, ages 51 and 40, were checking a flat tire when they were struck by a passing semi-truck.
Both men suffered fatal injuries. The semi-truck driver had minor injuries, while another driver who remained inside the stopped truck was not injured.
Eastbound I-94 at Exit 115 was closed for several hours following the collision and later reopened.
Investigators continue reviewing the crash. We extend our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the two men who died, and we hope the injured driver recovers fully.
