Chicago, IL (July 28, 2026) – Two people were seriously hurt during a dog attack on Sunday morning inside a home on the West Side of Chicago. The attack happened around 5:38 a.m. in the 4200 block of W Cullerton Street.
Police said a 15-year-old girl and a 25-year-old woman were attacked by a dog inside the residence. Officers arrived and shot the animal, which was later removed by animal control workers.
The girl had multiple puncture injuries and cuts to her arms and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was listed in serious condition. The woman had similar injuries to her hands and was also taken to the hospital, where she was listed in serious condition.
