Joliet, IL (July 23, 2026) – Two motorcyclists were injured after a collision at Caton Farm Rd and W Frontage Rd in Joliet late on Wednesday night.
The police said the collision happened at approximately 9:42 p.m. when a Volkswagen Atlas traveling east on Caton Farm Rd attempted to turn left onto northbound W Frontage Rd. The vehicle entered the intersection and struck a westbound Kawasaki motorcycle carrying a 44-year-old Joliet man and a 46-year-old Joliet woman.
Both motorcycle occupants were thrown from the bike and taken to Saint Joseph Medical Center before later being transferred to Loyola University Medical Center for additional treatment. Detectives said the Volkswagen driver, a 41-year-old Alsip man, was not hurt.
Witnesses reported that traffic on Caton Farm Rd had a green signal when the collision occurred. The traffic unit completed the roadway examination, and no additional details about the people involved were released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision is ongoing.
