Wichita, KS (September 5, 2026) – Two people were seriously injured after a silver Acura left the roadway and struck a home near Seneca and McLean on Saturday, September 5. The accident was reported at about 7:30 a.m.

Emergency units arrived and found the Acura overturned on its roof at the residence.

The collision remains under review. We hope both people recover fully.

Vehicles Leaving the Roadway Can Create Added Injury Hazards

When a vehicle leaves the travel lane, occupants may face forces that differ from a typical two-car roadway encounter. Curbs, uneven ground, landscaping, walls, and buildings can create fixed obstacles that do not move away when struck.

A rollover can add another layer of risk because the body may shift in several directions inside the cabin. Seat belts, airbags, roof strength, speed, and seating position can all influence the seriousness of resulting trauma.

A vehicle entering a residential property can also endanger people inside or near the building. Structural materials may shift after contact, while broken glass and debris can create additional hazards. The direction of travel, final resting position, and amount of cabin deformation can help explain why these accidents sometimes lead to severe injuries.

1Seek treatment promptly after being injured in an accident. Your first priority should always be your health. Many providers offer treatment on a lien basis, meaning you can get the care you need now and pay later when your claim is resolved.
2Before speaking with an insurance company, make sure you have the facts. An official police report is the most reliable record of what happened and can help establish liability An experienced attorney can assist you in obtaining this report and using it to protect your interests.
3Consider having your case reviewed by a qualified attorney who can guide you through the next steps. They will safeguard your rights and pursue the compensation you deserve.

Focus on your recovery and
