What Investigators Review After a Residential Fire
After a house fire, investigators typically examine the area where the fire may have started and look for evidence that explains how it spread. They may review building materials, electrical systems, heating equipment, and other possible sources that could have contributed to the incident.
Fire behavior can change quickly depending on a home’s layout, available fuel sources, and ventilation. Investigators also consider how smoke and flames moved through the structure. Information from witnesses, emergency responders, and scene examinations can help create a clearer picture of what happened. These reviews are used to determine the cause of a fire and identify factors that may help prevent similar incidents in the future.
