Libertyville, IL (July 15, 2026) – Two 15-year-old girls were hurt on Tuesday night, July 14, after an e-bike and an SUV came together near the intersection of Milwaukee Ave and Winchester Rd.
The incident happened at approximately 9:08 p.m. The police said a Chevrolet Blazer was traveling north through the intersection with a green traffic signal when it struck an e-bike that was heading east across Milwaukee Ave just north of Winchester Rd. The e-bike was carrying two 15-year-old girls.
One of the teens was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center before being transferred to Lurie Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The second girl was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The driver of the Chevrolet Blazer was not hurt. The circumstances surrounding the crash continue to be examined.
