What Drivers Should Know About Crashes Near Intersections
Intersections can bring vehicles traveling from different directions into the same area, increasing the potential for collisions. Drivers should approach crossings at a safe speed and watch for vehicles entering from side roads.
A medical emergency can also affect a driver’s ability to control a vehicle. Sudden health problems may lead to unexpected movements, but the specific cause of an incident cannot be determined without confirmed information.
Drivers passing an active accident scene should slow down and give emergency crews room to work. Staying focused on the roadway can help prevent additional collisions near stopped vehicles and response activity.
