Winchester, VA (September 7, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision was reported on northbound Interstate 81 near Exit 313 on Saturday, September 5. Multiple people were reported injured as traffic backed up near the interchange.
The vehicles were positioned just before the Exit 313 ramp, which connects I-81 with Routes 17, 50, and 522. Emergency units were dispatched while motorists encountered congestion on both sides of the highway.
The circumstances leading to the wreck remain under investigation. We hope everyone affected recovers fully.
