Rockville, MD (September 13, 2026) – An accident that happened around 5:54 a.m. Friday, September 11, on northbound Interstate 270 at Shady Grove left two people injured after one vehicle struck the Jersey barrier.
Rescue units responded to the northbound lanes following the crash. Two people were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The northbound lanes were temporarily shut down while crews worked at the scene. The roadway has since reopened, though drivers may still face delays in the area.
