State Center, IA (August 7, 2026) – An 89-year-old Gowrie man was seriously injured on Wednesday afternoon in a collision on Highway 30 near State Center. Robert Craigmile, who had been reported missing on Tuesday, was driving a passenger vehicle involved in the wreck.
Craigmile left his home in a Chevy Equinox and was last known to be in the Tama area before the collision. He was taken to a hospital in Marshalltown and later moved to Iowa Methodist in Des Moines for additional care.
Joshua Good, 38, of Ogden, was identified as the driver of the commercial tractor-trailer involved. Good was not hurt in the accident. The people involved had not been fully identified beyond the details provided in the initial report.
