West Point, IA (June 8, 2026) – The Iowa State Patrol said three people were injured after a UTV rollover at the intersection of St Paul Road and 228th Avenue on Saturday, June 6, in West Point. The crash happened around 8 p.m. in Lee County.
Investigators said a Polaris Ranger entered the intersection and lost control before overturning. A 40-year-old passenger was seriously injured and flown by air ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital for treatment.
Two other passengers, both age 35, also suffered injuries during the rollover. Officials said one was from West Point and the other from Burlington. Neither was taken to a hospital by emergency units. The 33-year-old driver from West Point was not hurt in the crash.
