Venice, FL (January 7, 2026) – A crash with injuries occurred Wednesday morning at a major intersection in Venice, disrupting traffic and prompting a prompt emergency response. The incident took place around 10:15 a.m. at the junction of Center Rd and US 41 Bypass S, where multiple vehicles collided under unclear circumstances.
Firefighters and paramedics from Sarasota County Fire Department Station 21 arrived quickly to provide aid. Several people sustained injuries and were treated on scene, with at least one individual transported to a nearby hospital for further care. The severity of injuries has not yet been fully reported.
The collision caused partial traffic blockages at the busy intersection, which connects one of Venice’s main thoroughfares to the heavily traveled US 41 Bypass. Emergency crews worked to safely manage the scene, clear the roadway, and begin a formal investigation into what caused the crash.
