Waimanalo, HI (May 5, 2026) – A head-on crash in the Waimanalo area on Monday, May 4, left two people seriously hurt and led to a temporary road closure.
Emergency units were called to the scene at Kalanianaole Hwy and Kaulu St. during the afternoon after reports of a collision involving two vehicles. When crews arrived, they found a man, believed to be about 35 years old, and a woman, believed to be 19, both suffering from serious injuries.
Both individuals were taken to nearby hospitals in serious condition for further treatment. As crews worked at the scene, Kalanianaole Hwy was shut down in both directions between Kaulu St. and Hinalea St., and traffic was rerouted through Oluolu St.
