What Is Reviewed After a Head-on Crash on an Alabama Highway?
Head-on crashes often result in severe or fatal injuries because both vehicles are moving toward each other at impact. On highways like New Oakman Hwy, where traffic may travel at higher speeds, the force of a direct collision can be extreme.
After a crash of this type, several factors are commonly examined. These may include vehicle positions, roadway markings, visibility, and whether either vehicle crossed the center line. Damage patterns on the front of both vehicles can also help show how the collision occurred.
Rural highways near communities such as Parrish may have curves, limited lighting, or narrow shoulders. Drivers are encouraged to remain alert, avoid distractions, and stay within their lane to reduce the risk of a head-on collision.
