What Is Typically Examined After a Single-Vehicle Highway Crash with Ejection?
In crashes where a vehicle leaves the roadway and occupants are ejected, investigators often focus on vehicle control and restraint use. This includes how the vehicle lost traction and whether any mechanical issues contributed.
Seatbelt use and door integrity are also reviewed in cases involving ejection. These details help determine how passengers were positioned and why they may have exited the vehicle during impact.
Road design and curve layout are also commonly assessed. Factors such as speed, road curvature, and roadside obstacles can help explain how the vehicle left the roadway and the severity of the outcome.
