Pedestrian Safety and Hit-and-Run Risks
Hit-and-run crashes can be particularly dangerous for pedestrians because timely medical care may be delayed. Even moderate impacts can result in significant injuries, including broken bones or head trauma.
Urban intersections are high-risk areas, where pedestrians and vehicles frequently interact. Authorities encourage drivers to remain vigilant and yield to crosswalks and stress the importance of staying at the scene if a crash occurs. Rapid response from emergency personnel can help reduce the severity of injuries and ensure public safety.
