Frequently Asked Questions
What injuries are most common in two-vehicle crashes like this one?
Common injuries include head trauma, broken bones, internal injuries, and neck or back strain, particularly when a vehicle rolls over or sustains heavy impact.
What typically causes two-vehicle crashes at intersections?
Frequent causes include failure to yield, running a red light or stop sign, distracted driving, and misjudging the speed or distance of oncoming traffic.
How does speed affect how serious a crash becomes?
Higher speeds give drivers less time to react and increase the force of impact, which raises the chance of rollovers, severe injury, or major vehicle damage.
Why is distracted driving considered so risky?
Taking eyes or attention off the road for even a few seconds can prevent a driver from braking or steering in time to avoid a crash.
