What to Do After a Hit-and-Run Crash in Westlake, California
Being hit by a driver who flees can leave you shaken and unsure what comes next. Try to note any details you can, a partial plate, the vehicle's color, or direction of travel, and report them to police as soon as possible. Seek medical evaluation even if you feel okay at the scene, since some injuries don't show symptoms right away. File a police report promptly and keep a copy for your insurance company, which will need it to process an uninsured or unidentified motorist claim.
