Wichita, KS (January 11, 2026) – A crash involving two vehicles occurred on Saturday evening near East Central outside the Dillons Marketplace, leaving at least one person injured and prompting a coordinated emergency response.
The accident was reported around 5:15 p.m. in the area of W 21st St N. According to radio traffic, one of the vehicles remained in the roadway while the second came to rest near the store’s front entrance. Squad 15 and Engine 15 arrived on scene to begin patient assessment and secure the area.
Emergency medical personnel worked quickly to evaluate those involved. At least one individual sustained injuries in the crash and was provided on-site treatment, with further medical transport arranged if necessary. The number of total occupants involved has not been released.
A command post was established at the scene to manage the incident, and law enforcement assisted in directing traffic and supporting investigation efforts. The cause of the crash remains under review.
