Wilkinson, WV (April 15, 2026) – A driver was injured after a crash involving a gas pump led to a fire Tuesday in Wilkinson.
According to state police, the incident occurred along State Route 44 when a vehicle crashed into a gasoline pump at a local gas station.
When a trooper arrived at the scene, the vehicle was already engulfed in flames.
Authorities reported that the driver, a 32-year-old man from Cambridge, Ohio, was pulled from the burning vehicle and transported to Logan Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The fire caused by the crash spread and destroyed three additional vehicles at the gas station. Emergency crews worked to extinguish the fire and secure the area.
