What Factors Often Contribute to E-Bike Accidents at Busy Intersections?
E-bike accidents at intersections often involve visibility challenges and timing during turns. Riders may misjudge the speed of oncoming traffic or assume they have enough space to cross safely. This can increase the risk of being struck, especially on high-speed roads.
Vehicle drivers may also have limited reaction time when a rider turns unexpectedly. Larger roads with multiple lanes can make it harder for both drivers and riders to anticipate movements clearly.
Road design, lighting conditions, and traffic flow can all influence how these incidents unfold. Intersections with service roads or merging lanes may add complexity, increasing the chance of a crash when movements are not properly aligned.
