Windsor, WI (March 19, 2026) – A 32-year-old woman has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash involving a semitruck earlier this week on Interstate 39/90/94 near DeForest. The crash occurred around 6:50 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, near mile marker 129 in the Village of Windsor.
Authorities said Victoria J. Biehl was involved in a collision between a car and a semitruck. She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
A forensic examination confirmed her cause of death, and additional testing is still underway. The crash led to the closure of all southbound lanes of the interstate for about three hours as crews worked at the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available.
Our condolences go out to the victim’s loved ones.
Crashes Involving Semitrucks Can Have Severe Consequences
Collisions involving large trucks often result in significant damage due to the size and weight difference between vehicles. Passenger cars may be more vulnerable in these situations, especially during high-speed highway travel.
Early morning hours can bring added challenges, such as reduced visibility or changing traffic patterns. These conditions may affect how drivers react on busy interstates.
When major crashes occur, road closures are sometimes necessary to allow crews to clear debris and assess the scene. This can lead to extended delays for drivers traveling through the area.
