Beaumont, TX (August 28, 2026) – A woman was critically injured after a vehicle struck her shortly before 5 a.m. on Thursday at Washington Blvd and 8th St. The accident prompted a temporary road closure between 6th St and 8th St.
The police said the preliminary investigation indicates the woman was walking in the roadway when the vehicle hit her. She was taken to a local hospital, where she remained in critical condition.
