Atlanta, GA (August 24, 2026) – Michaela Kemp, 26, was fatally struck by a vehicle early on Saturday morning, August 22, along Interstate 85 near the GA-400 interchange. Police said she was pronounced dead at the scene after officers and medical personnel responded.
Investigators said Kemp had been involved in a physical dispute inside a vehicle before it stopped on the highway shoulder. After the occupants exited, the altercation continued outside. Kemp reportedly ran into a travel lane and was hit by a passing vehicle.
The driver involved remained at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
