Ellsinore, MO (August 26, 2026) – A 64-year-old woman was hurt in an accident involving two vehicles on US-60, five miles west of Ellsinore, on Monday, August 24. The collision occurred at about 1:30 p.m. in Carter County.
According to the report, a 54-year-old Ellsinore woman driving a 2011 Ford F-150 attempted to cross the highway. The pickup struck a westbound 2024 Ford Edge driven by the 64-year-old woman from Ravenel, South Carolina.
Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the area. The Ford Edge driver was taken by air ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for moderate injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the wreck remain under review. We hope the injured driver makes a steady recovery.
