Shelbina, MO (August 15, 2026) – A 28-year-old woman was moderately injured on Thursday morning when a Buick struck a Volvo tractor-trailer from behind on US Hwy 36 at Shelbina. The collision occurred at approximately 7:25 a.m.
According to the crash report, both vehicles were traveling westbound when the Volvo stopped at a stop sign. The Buick then struck the rear of the truck tractor.
The woman driving the Buick was taken by ambulance to Samaritan Hospital for treatment. Both vehicles were towed from the crash location, with the Buick sustaining extensive damage and the Volvo receiving moderate damage. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
