San Antonio, TX (August 18, 2026) – An older woman suffered non-life-threatening burn injuries after a house fire on Monday, August 17, on the city’s northwest side.
The San Antonio Fire Department was called to the 200 block of Zachry Drive at approximately 5:43 p.m. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy flames inside one home that had begun spreading to another residence.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control, but both homes sustained significant damage. Officials said the first home is believed to be a total loss.
The older woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening burn injuries. Another person was inside the home at the time of the fire but was not injured.
The cause of the fire has not been released. Additional details may become available as officials continue their investigation.
