Dallas, TX (August 18, 2026) – One person was hospitalized, and a dog died after a house fire on Tuesday, August 18, in the 3500 block of Maybeth Street in Dallas.
Dallas Fire-Rescue firefighters responded to the home at approximately 3:47 a.m. When crews arrived, they found a one-story residence with flames coming from the front door. All occupants had already escaped the home by the time firefighters arrived.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze at approximately 4:26 a.m. One person was taken to a hospital for minor smoke inhalation. One dog died in the fire.
Three adults, along with multiple dogs and cats, were displaced from the home. The American Red Cross responded to assist those affected by the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this incident, especially those who lost a pet, and we hope the injured person makes a full recovery.
