New York, NY (June 22, 2026) – A woman lost her life after a collision involving two Jet Skis near Randall’s Island on Saturday night, June 20.
According to the police, the incident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. when two Jet Skis collided on the water, throwing four occupants, two men and two women into the water.
Authorities reported that one of the women was rendered unconscious as a result of the crash. Members of the NYPD Harbor Unit responded to the scene, pulled the victims from the water, and immediately began life-saving efforts.
The injured woman was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Her identity has not yet been released pending official notification procedures.
The conditions of the other individuals involved in the collision were not immediately disclosed. Investigators continue working to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
