Westboro, MO (June 28, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon, June 26, left two women and a child injured. Officials arrived at the scene on Highway 59 about four miles west of Westboro around 2:25 p.m.
The investigation stated that a 31-year-old woman from Tarkio was driving a 2007 Dodge Nitro northbound when she attempted to turn onto Highway B. The SUV was struck on the driver’s side by a southbound 2020 Ford Crown Victoria driven by a 43-year-old woman from Northboro, Iowa. Both vehicles came to rest facing east, blocking the northbound lanes of Highway 59.
The Dodge driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Fairfax Community Hospital. A 5-year-old boy riding in the Dodge suffered minor injuries and was also taken to Fairfax Community Hospital. The Ford driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to Shenandoah Medical Center. The Dodge sustained moderate damage, while the Ford was totaled. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
