Port St. Lucie, FL (August 20, 2026) – A 33-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after a collision involving a vehicle and an electric-assisted bicycle on Tuesday, August 18, at the intersection of SE Crosstown Parkway and SE Sandia Drive in Port St. Lucie.
Detectives said officers responded to the crash at approximately 4:20 a.m. Investigators determined that a 48-year-old woman was driving a Dodge Challenger southbound on SE Crosstown Parkway when the vehicle struck the 33-year-old woman, who was riding an electric-assisted bicycle southbound across SE Crosstown Parkway at SE Sandia Drive.
The cyclist suffered serious bodily injuries and was transported to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, where she remained in critical condition. The driver of the Dodge Challenger remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police said no fault had been established as the investigation continued.
