Richmond, VA (August 20, 2026) – A five-vehicle collision on I-95 north near the Shockoe Valley Bridge left one person injured.
The wreck occurred at about 7:47 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18. A pickup truck rear-ended another vehicle, setting off a chain reaction involving three additional vehicles.
One person was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was identified as being at fault and received a summons following the accident.
The charges that may result from the summons were not included in the initial report. The people involved in the wreck had not been publicly identified. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision remains underway.
