Anderson County, KY (June 6, 2026) – A woman was seriously hurt and hospitalised early Friday, June 5, around 5:30 a.m. after a two-vehicle crash on US-127 Bypass near Bluegrass Parkway in Anderson County.
Investigators said a Toyota 4Runner had already been involved in a prior contact with a Chevrolet Traverse and was stopped in the right lane of travel. Moments later, a tractor-trailer approached and struck the rear of the Toyota 4Runner. The driver, a Lawrenceburg woman, was taken to UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, where she remains in stable but serious condition. The truck driver was not hurt.
Troopers are still working to piece together the sequence of events that led to the crash. The circumstances surrounding the earlier vehicle contact are also being reviewed as part of the ongoing examination.
