How Injuries Can Occur in Urban Street Crashes
Crashes on city streets frequently happen at intersections or areas with frequent traffic stops, turns, and pedestrian activity. Vehicles can collide if one driver misjudges spacing, fails to stop in time, or reacts slowly to surrounding traffic. Injuries may range from minor bruises to more serious harm, depending on vehicle speed and angle of contact.
Even low-speed collisions can cause strain or whiplash for drivers and passengers. Prompt medical attention is important because some injuries are not immediately obvious. Road design, traffic signals, and driver awareness all influence the likelihood and severity of street crashes.
