What Factors Are Often Examined After a Residential Fire in Connecticut?
After a residential fire, several factors are typically reviewed to determine how the incident began and how it spread. Investigators often examine the home’s structure, including electrical systems, heating equipment, and any appliances that may have been in use at the time.
The layout of the house can also affect how quickly flames move from one area to another. Open floor plans, ventilation points, and building materials may all influence fire behavior and damage patterns.
In addition, witness observations and physical evidence from inside the home can help piece together a timeline. Burn patterns, smoke damage, and the condition of specific rooms often provide clues about where the fire originated and how it progressed.
